Margaret Virginia Smith

Margaret Virginia Smith, 74, of Mint Hill, passed away October 10, 2012 surrounded by her family. Margaret worked for Southern Bell for 36 years and was a member of CWA (Communication Workers of America). She was also a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Donald Dewey Smith. She is survived by her children; Michael (Beth) Smith and Jennifer (Neil) Stewart, granddaughter, Ellis Stewart, brother; Jimmy (Carrie) Steele and her companion; Jerry Tilley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at twelve noon at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care P.O.
