Margaret Mayberry Lackey Allen, 91, of Mint Hill passed away on November 13, 2017. Margaret was born in Statesville, NC on September 4, 1926. She was preceded in death by her first husband William Edward Lackey in 1964, her second husband Woodrow Allen in 2006, and daughter Janet Wallace Owensby in 2017.
Margaret was an LPN at Presbyterian (Novant) Hospital in Charlotte for many years. She had a passion for flowers, gardening and family gatherings.
She is survived by her son Charles Edward Lackey and wife Susan, son-in-law Joe Owensby, grandson Daniel Wallace, and step-children Steve Allen, Sandra Watson, Cheri Smith, Diane Belk, Kay Avery, Kelly Wright and their families.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, November 20, 2017 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM in the church rotunda.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park in Mint Hill, NC.
