Louise Arlene Ziegler

Louise Arlene Ziegler, 87, passed away December 8, 2017 at her home in Mint Hill, NC surrounded by her family. She was born in Manhattan, NY on July 18, 1930. Louise was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A licensed registered nurse who graduated from Misericordia College in 1951, she dedicated over 40 years to her profession in New York and Charlottesville, VA.

Louise and her husband John lived in Charlottesville, VA for 44 years where they raised their children. Twelve years ago they moved to Mint Hill, NC where Louise enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her beloved husband John to whom she was married for over 67 years.

Louise will be dearly missed and is survived by her husband John, son, Robert and his wife Laura, Cheryll Ziegler and her son Matthew Skelton, granddaughters, Leanne Ziegler, Caroline, and husband Richard Grzych, and Sharon Ziegler.

Louise is survived by grandsons, Alexander and Adam Ziegler and his wife Dawn. She has four great-grandchildren, A’Laura and Benjamin Walters, and Caden and Cory Ziegler who will miss their great-grandma’s big dinners, apple pie and holiday celebrations.

Louise is predeceased by her parents, August and Marie Bastien, sister, Barbara Brady, brother, Richard Bastien, daughter, Jeanne Quann, granddaughter, Aimee Jeanne Miller and her beloved son, Michael J. Ziegler.
