John Thadus Bell

John Thadus Bell, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 12, 2020. John was born on December 25, 1950 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He resided in Charlotte, NC, most of his life. He was a US Navy Veteran and loved his country. He had a great sense of humor and always saw the good side of things. John loved to play cards, collect rent, spend time with his grandchildren and eat fried bologna sandwiches.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Thadus Lafayette Bell and Evangeline Daniels Bell.

He is survived by his wife, Carol F. Bell, his two children; Dana (Ty) Bell Helms and Derek (Amanda) Bell, his grandchildren; Kelsey, Brynn, Trey and Tessa Helms, John Tristen and Leo Bell, great grand-daughter; Brogen Reese, His sisters; Norma Jean Moser and Sandra McDonald and brother; Gerald (Carol) Bell.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30am on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm with military honors at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.
