Jimmie Dewey Clark

His family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 13, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint-Hill Road, followed by a 3:00 P.M. graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park with full military honors.

Born February 4, 1938 in Gaston County, NC, Mr. Clark was a son of the late Dewey Matthew Clark and Margaret Kathleen Davis Clark. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service. Following retirement from the Navy and after graduating from the Charlotte Police Academy, Mr. Clark worked with the Charlotte Airport Police for 15 years. He enjoyed helping people, always had a smile on his face, and was loved by his family and friends.

Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, B. Jane Clark; his four children, Debbie Clark Carter, Susan Clark Hopkins, Mike Clark and his wife, Jennifer, and Jeff Clark and his wife, Luz D. Villada; his brother, Joe Clark; and five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
