James Charles Wilson

Jim was born February 10, 1942 in Jasper, Alabama son of the late Andrew Carl Wilson and Dorothy Rooks Wilson. He lived in various places throughout his life but always ended up back in Charlotte. He was a member of Idlewild Baptist Church and enjoyed helping in the kitchen when needed. Jim could usually be found in his garage fixing something or polishing his little red truck.

Jim was predeceased by his wife of forty-six years, Linda O. Wilson and his sister, Kay Patton.

Survivors include his daughter, Andrea and Edwin Carlton of Mint Hill, and son, Lance and Suzanne Wilson of Matthews; grandchildren; Remmi and Lexi Carlton and Emily and Sophia Wilson and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held graveside on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 1:30pm at Forest Lawn East Cemetery - Annex Building, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC.
