He was born on September 3, 1967 in Charlotte, NC to Nelson and Sheila Blackburn.
Glenn enjoyed the beach, White Lake, NC, dirt-biking, Harley Davidson motorcycles, drag racing, golf, hanging out with friends and spending time with his son.
Glenn was employed by Roche Diagnostics as a Project Coordinator.
Glenn loved music and playing bass guitar. He played in many bands, performing both original and cover tunes, for more than 25 years. Glenn also enjoyed writing songs. He was pleased to be featured in a song that received radio play in the early 90's, "Rainy Day" by Phantom Park.
He is survived by his son, Nick Stafford; parents, Nelson and Sheila Blackburn of Fayetteville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Mark Erwin of Fayetteville, NC; nephew, Lane Erwin of Atlanta, GA; and fiancee', Trish Ozbirn.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Glenn's favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
