David Warren Poteat

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, David was preceded in death by his father, Atwell Poteat.

Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth M. Poteat; his son, Joshua Poteat; his grandson, Braxton Poteat; his brother, Sidney Poteat and his wife, Marsha; and two nieces and one nephew.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 am Thursday, April 19, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank all of the dedicated and compassionate doctors, nurses and nursing assistants on 9-A at Carolinas Medical Center-Main, and Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, for the excellent care provided to David.
