Claudia Shaw Hopkins

Mrs. Hopkins was born January 21, 1920 in Kershaw, SC, daughter of the late James Stanley Shaw and Beulah Adams Shaw. She had lived in Charlotte most of her life and was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. “Hoppy” Hopkins, Sr. and a daughter, Jacqueline “Jackye” Williams.

Survivors include her son, H.B. “Dickie” Hopkins, Jr. and wife Brenda of Garden City, SC; sister, Helen Shaw Brown of Charlotte; grandchildren, Scott Hopkins of China Grove, Derek Williams of Mint Hill, Sean Hopkins of Cornelius, and Kristin Taylor of San Jon, NM; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Emily, Madison and Huntleigh Williams, Megan, Nicholas, and Hunter Hopkins, and Evan Taylor; great-great-grandchildren, Haylie, Austin, and Justin Reyes, Conner Skyles, and Elena Hopkins.

A graveside funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013 in Sharon Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Gregory officiating.
