Charlotte Oliver Bedell

Charlotte was born February 18, 1931 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the youngest of seven children born to Daniel Oliver and Kristine Dalman Oliver. Her family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia when she was ten. She graduated from Britannia High School, attended the University of British Columbia, and graduated from the Vancouver General Hospital School of Nursing in 1953. She married Robert E. Bedell in June 1955. They moved to Charlotte, NC in September 1978.

Charlotte was a member of Sardis Presbyterian Church for 41 years where she was a Stephen Minister for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert; children Bob Bedell and wife Faye of Gallatin, Tennessee, daughter Lori Bedell Berger and husband The Honorable Gilbert Berger of Culpeper, Virginia, and son Lee Bedell and wife Dottie of Charlotte; grandchildren Dan Bedell (Lindsay), Bob Bedell (Cheyenne), Jason Berger (Kimberly), and Charlie Bedell; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Shepherd of London, Ontario and Pearl Willis of Sidney, British Columbia; sisters-in-law Bessie Oliver of Vancouver, British Columbia and Marjorie Bedell Miller of Hampton Bays, New York; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters Rose Reykdal, Anna Derby, Loa Rushworth, and brother M. Daniel Oliver.
