Carol is predeceased by his son, Carol "Denny" Dennis III; and his granddaughter, Leah Dennis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Jean Dennis; his daughters, Cynthya Ivey (Don), Luanne Dennis, Dee Jones; his grandchildren, Michael Ivey (Brittany), Taylor Ivey, Jake Dennis, Sam Dennis (Brittany), Amanda Young (Brad), Dylan Young, Katelyn Pierce, Lily Jones; his great-grandchildren, Payson Ivey, Jackson Ivey, Rowan Ivey, Lincoln Ivey, Olivia Leavitt; his sister, Brooks Scholz, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at McEwen's Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC. A visitation will be held prior from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
