Billy Blair Flow, of Mint Hill, NC, passed away Thursday evening, July 30, 2015, at his home. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was raised by his grandfather, Gaither Flow, his mother, and his aunt and uncle, Richard and Catherine Evans.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 until 1946, with tours in Europe and the Asiatic Pacific on the USS LST-621. He worked at Belk Store Services until his retirement in 1988. Bill was a longtime member of Idlewild Baptist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bunn and Almeda Flow, his brother, Bobby Flow, and his daughter, Terri Mobley.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Flow; his sister, Anne Evans Austin; his brothers, Tom Flowe, Joe Flowe, Jerry Evans and Dickie Evans, his daughter, Sandy Reynolds; and his grandchildren, Heather and Seth Peagler, Seth Reynolds, Shawn and Adam Daughhetee, and Blair Mobley.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, with the Reverend Keith Whitener and the Reverend Mark Evans officiating.
Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends, especially for his sense of humor and his dedication to the Lord.
