Billie Louise Pierce

She was born on Nov. 23, 1936, in Hancock, Houghton County, MI, to the late Leslie Birk and Faye Godmere Birk.

She received an associate degree in psychology.

She married Harlen Pierce on June 18, 1954, in Mississippi. Mr. Pierce died on Aug. 18, 1975.

Survivors include her daughter, Gena Hazen, Charlotte; her granddaughter, Charlene and her husband Eric Shoe, Charlotte; her grandson, Eugene (Sonny) Hazen, Burgaw, NC; her great granddaughter, Virginia Shoe, Charlotte; six siblings,

Carmen Campbell, Carolyn Durant, Leslie William Birk, Judith Fullingim, Randall J. Birk, Bonnie Hinson and her husband Michael Hinson and their sons, Michael Hinson, Jr. and Benjamin Hinson.

Billie requested there be no visitation and no services.
