Betty Lee Torrence

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Betts was one of eight children born to Walter and Lucy Lee. She was a 1944 graduate of Central High School and retired in 1994 from Hormel Corporation as an administrative assistant after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mizpah Chapter for 60 years.

In addition to her parents, Betts was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Miller, Don Lee, Walter Lee, Robert E. Lee and Sarah Torrence.

Betts is survived by her husband, Lloyd Torrence; her two brothers, Jim Lee and Jon Lee; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, with a service to celebrate her life to follow at 2:00 pm in Wood Fellowship Hall. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
