Betty Ashworth Hucks

Born April 1, 1934 in Fuquay-Varina, NC, Mrs. Hucks was the daughter of the late Norwood Ashworth and Lila Mae Dean. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, George Thomas “Bob” Hucks. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 16, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Steve Gandy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Hucks and wife, Kathy; a brother, Roger Dean and wife, Sandra, of Durham; four grandchildren, Brandon Hucks and wife, Sherri, Tiffany Hucks, Matt Hucks and Meagan Hucks; four great-grandchildren, Tanner, Trustin and Brinley Hucks and Tyler Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
