Betty Autry Biggers

Born January 7, 1935, in Union County, North Carolina, Mrs. Biggers was the daughter of the late Edgar and Dora Autry. She was a 1955 graduate of Wingate College. On October 16, 1956, Johnny and Betty were married and together enjoyed 61 years of marriage. She retired from Wachovia Corporation.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her son, Brian Biggers and wife, Kay; daughter, Teresa Biggers Clodfelter; son, Mark Biggers and wife, Melanie; adopted son, Ivo Ngha and wife, Agnes; five grandchildren, Whitney Rutter and husband, Jon, Emily Loman and husband, Collin, Caleb Biggers, Sarah Yeargin and husband, Brandon and Jonathan Biggers; and great-grandchildren, Lexi and Addy (due August of 2018.)

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday evening, May 15, 2018, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 East W.T. Harris Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center. Officiating will be her son, the Rev. Brian Biggers, along with the Rev. John Harrill and the Rev. Arnold Kessler. Interment is private.
