She was born on Dec. 30, 1951, in New York City, to Michael and Helen (Healy) Rokovich.
She married Robert Malsich on Jan. 23, 1971, in Pemberton, N.J. The couple had moved to Matthews five years ago.
Ann had been a novitiate and associate member of Sparkill Dominican Convent in Sparkill, NY. She was a former player and retired referee for basketball, soccer, and softball games in the New York City area for twenty-seven years.
She attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte. Ann was a very active volunteer at the Levine Senior Center as well as an active member of the Red Hatters.
Survivors include her husband, Bob, of Matthews, and her brother, Michael Rokovich, Cataumat, MA.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the McEwen-Mint Hill Chapel. Reverend Patrick T. Hoare will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
