Wanda Marie Olson

Wanda grew up in Hibbing Minnesota, moved to Duluth with her family in 1966, and graduated from high school in 1967. She moved to Minneapolis right after graduation and lived in various places in south Minneapolis, Northeast Minneapolis, and finally St Anthony Village until her death.

Wanda met David, the love of her life, while they both worked at Hennepin County. They were married in Las Vegas in 1992. They enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, the Dakotas, Canada, and staying on military bases, one of David's benefits from belonging to the Guards.

Wanda and David were dedicated finance workers for the county. Their legacy was to generously give and provide compassion to the nameless in the community. Wanda empathized with all those in need.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; son, Shawn; parents, Rudolph and Ellen; and sister, Victoria.

Wanda will be missed by her brother, Keith (Laurie); grandson, Trevor (Sarah) Nelson; his mother, Susan Nelson; great-grandchildren, Lily and Shawn; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Clint (Karen), Chris (Jennifer), Stacie (Yusef), Tricia and Vanessa; brother-in-law Rich (Marlys) Olson; stepson Davy; and other family and friends.

Private interment at Sunset Cemetery, Minneapolis.
