Toby Tober

Age 73 of Mora, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Villa Health Care Center in Mora.

Toby was born December 3, 1937 in Proctor, MN. Toby attended St. Cloud Orphanage and graduated from Boys Town in Nebraska in 1956. After graduation, he entered the US Army and served in the Military Police. Following his discharge from the Army, he returned to Minnesota where he met and married Marilyn Wright. They moved from Minneapolis to Mora in 1969. They raised their family of seven children in Mora and Toby established his furniture refinishing business and antique store there in 1971. He loved his profession. Toby enjoyed fishing and hunting and working with wood restoring, building and carving many things. His amazing talent will be missed by many.

Toby is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 48 years and seven children; Tobbie Tober of Hinckley, MN, Terry Tober of Waveland Park, Indiana, Tim Tober of Delray Beach, Florida, Tracy (Greg) Jones of Delray Beach, Florida, Tammy Tober of Pine City, MN, Tom (Abby) Tober of Mora, MN, and Tony Tober (Jaime) Mora, MN. Nineteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
