Timothy Martin O’Dougherty

Timothy Martin O’Dougherty, (Tim), passed away at age 58 in Minneapolis on Sunday October 13, 2024. Tim died unexpectedly of a cardiovascular event. He was born on February 11, 1966, in Minneapolis, to Terence O’Dougherty and Eileen O’Dougherty (nee O’Connell). He grew up in South Minneapolis, graduated from Saint Thomas Academy in 1984, and graduated from University of Minnesota/Twin Cities with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Tim was an Eagle Scout and maintained his Boy Scout friendships. He worked as a corporate manager/accountant in the auto sales industry and in property management. Tim was known for his sharp mind, dry and witty sense of humor, generosity, and commitment to family. He loved to travel, and family and friends have many fond memories from trips with Tim—he often seemed happiest when enjoying the rhythm of the road.

He is survived by four siblings (Sheila, Kevin, Dennis, Brian); sister-in-law, Shawn; nephew, John, nieces Erin and Lauren, and many cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Tim touched are invited to Sunset Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2250 St Anthony Blvd, Minneapolis, MN, on Saturday November 2, 2024, to grieve, share memories, and support each other. Visitation is at 11am and Memorial Service at 12pm, followed by 1-4pm luncheon at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl, 1273 County Road E, Arden Hills, MN.
