Tom was born and raised in Denver, CO and moved to Minnesota in the early 1950’s and then to Naples, FL in 1993. A navy veteran of WWII, he served on the USS Algol for two years, primarily in the south pacific. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. (Elks) for 58 years, serving as the Exalted Ruler in Faribault, MN during 1966-67.
Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene, his oldest daughter, Deborah Golden Duchene, his sister, Mary Harpole, and his brother, Bill Golden. He is survived by his two sisters, Pat (John) Chandler and Nancy Golden; his loving wife of 22 years, Maureen; his four children, Patrick Golden, Kay (Rich) Gray, Tom (Cyndi) Golden, and Jim Golden; three step-children, Anne Gowen, Gretchen (Rick) Peterson, and John Etzel; seven granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Monday, April 12, with reviewal one hour before the service, at St. Edward the Confessor Episcopal Church, 865 N. Ferndale Road, Wayzata, MN. A private interment will be held at Sunset Cemetery.
