Our precious baby Steven Luke Carvalho Reed, son of Thaddeus and Ageane Reed went to be with Jesus on November 20, 2018. Steven was a fun child; his laughter was contagious. He loved people. We will especially remember his spunk and teasing expressions which brought joy to many. Steven’s heart reached out beyond our borders and helped to build a church in Embu, Kenya.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his big brother Pedro, whom he loved, his paternal grandparents who use to sing “Jesus loves me this I know”, to him. He is also survived by his loving uncles and aunts on Thad’s side, James (Sarah) and Kenetha (Keith), and on Ageane’s side, Gildeclar (Denny), Jaquimar (Iraide) and Janine (Amilton), and numerous cousins, as well as other relatives and friends in the US, Brazil, Fiji and Kenya, who loved Steven very much.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Apostolic Bible Church - 6944 Hudson Boulevard North, St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sunset Cemetery (2250 St Anthony Blvd. N.E. MPLS.)
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, RTs, receptionists, and many others for the incredible care provided at the St. Paul Children’s Hospital PICU in St Paul, MN., and Dr. Shreve at Children's Respiratory & Critical Care. A special thanks also to Gillette Hospital in St. Paul for the many years of care. Also, thanks to Pediatric Home Services and their home care nursing, you are the best!
Thank you to the school district for providing so many years of fun and learning for Steven. Also, thank you to our church family at Apostolic Bible Institute and Church who brought us numerous meals and carried us through this very difficult time. Ageane would like to thank Oak Meadows for allowing her to work as she was able to and for sharing our grief.
Remember our special song Steven, until we meet again baby:
Baby mine, don't you cry.
Baby mine, dry your eyes.
Rest your head close to my heart,
Never to part, baby of mine.
Little one, when you play,
Pay no heed what they say.
Let your eyes sparkle and shine,
Never a tear, baby of mine.
If they knew all about you,
They'd end up loving you, too.
All those same people who scold you,
What they'd give just for the right to hold you.
From your hair down to your toes,
You're not much, goodness knows.
But, you're so precious to me,
Sweet as can be, baby of mine.

Babe, you don’t have to cry again.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
