Sharol Lynne Longaker

Sharol Lynn Longaker, age 81 of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully February 23, 2022. She was born in Minneapolis on June 25, 1940. Sharol had a career with Thies and Talle Property Management in Chanhassen, Minnesota of 34 years. One of her bosses said, “She was part of the bedrock of our company.” When she wasn’t at work there, she was working in Anderson Iris Gardens in Forest Lake, Minnesota, where she resided, carrying on her father’s legacy. Sharol’s love of flowers and animals was endless. She was a good pianist, loved bowling and golf.

Sharol was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, Milton and Hazel Anderson, her sister, Sandy, and husband, Ralph Junker and her brother, Allen Anderson. Sharol is survived by her sister, Dawn and husband, Arnie Gruhn, nephew, Jay Anderson, nephew, Shaun and wife Teresa Junker, their sons, Austin, Evan, and Braden, nephew Phil Hagen, and sister-in-law, Sandy Isham, and of course her beloved cat, Willie and many beloved cousins. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday March 17th at Sunset Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior beginning at noon. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Memorials appreciated to ASPCA (aspca.org) or the Animal Shelter of your choice. In light of the ongoing Pandemic there will be no reception following the services and masks are encouraged but left to the individual’s discretion.
