Richard "Dick" J. Giles

He worked for Honeywell for 37 years - the last 20 years as a "Social Problems Counselor".

He was a friend of Bill W. since 5-26-1964. He was one of the founders of "NUWAY". He started and participated in the annual 'MN Friends of Bill W. Golf Tournament' in 1967 thru 2020.

During his retirement he enjoyed golfing, racquetball, skiing, traveling, and pool parties in their backyard with family and friends. He was an avid reader, loved music, and walking his dog "Snowball".

He was a faithful participant in attending A.A. meetings always. He continued speaking at engagements whenever asked. He was instrumental in so many people's sobriety.

He was so loved and we will greatly miss him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanette, of almost 70 years; daughters, Terry (Wayne) Fischer and Sherry (Dave) Giles-Olson; son, Rich Giles; grandchildren: Kati Giles, Nate Giles, Matt Giles, Eric Olson, Brandon (Hannah) Olson, Ryan Fischer and Austin Fischer.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11AM, Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church (61 Mississippi St NE, Fridley, MN) with a visitation starting at 10AM. Burial following at 2PM at Sunset Cemetery (2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN).
