Grandpa Merv, you will be missed by many and we are all certain you are in a better place.  Heaven will be happy to have a great fisherman and an even greater five hundred player!

I love you and miss you so much Dad. I find comfort in knowing that you are now in a better place.

Dad -  You were a GREAT Dad and Husband to Mom for over 60 years.  The many memories I have of spending time with you warm my heart every day. I love you so much and was always proud to have you as my Dad.  I will see you and Lauren again when God calls me home.

The best father-in-law a person could wish for. I know Carol would not be the loving wife she is if it were not for him being the father he was to her. He was able to live his dream and teach us by his example. Heaven has another great fisherman.

My greatest memory of Grandpa Merv was when he took us Grandkids fishing with him on Blue Lake.  Grandpa Merv and Grandma Helen were always happy when they were fishing on the lake, and even happier when they shared it with their grandkids.  We'll miss you at the cabins every summer, Grandpa Merv.
