Marge was born on August 29, 1946, the first of seven children born to Donald "Don" E. and Mildred "Millie" E. (Blais) Paquette. She grew up with her siblings on the family farm in a house that her dad built just outside of Faribault, Minnesota. As a child she loved to ride horses and climb trees. After Marge graduated from Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, she took LPN training and then she went off to college at St. Catherine's University in St. Paul to become a registered nurse. Marge served as a nurse for many years in various capacities including home care, hospital, group home, hospice and as an instructor in nursing education.
Marge had six children and was married to Darrell Alexander for 45 years. She was warm and welcoming to everyone she met. She was a caretaker and was interested in nutrition and healthy eating. She loved kayaking and adventures like camping in the Boundary Waters. She loved to read. She was involved and passionate in the cause she believed in including her church, prison ministries, and pro-life ministries. She especially made sure to spend time with each of her grandchildren.
Marge is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Alexander; son, Timothy Alexander; parents, Don and Millie Paquette and brother, Tony Paquette.
Marge is survived by her five children, Keith Clark, Colleen (Jim) Sullivan, Lyle Alexander, Josh (Maggie) Alexander and Luke (Lea) Alexander; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings and other relatives and friends.
A service to honor Marge will be held on her birthday, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 2 PM at Hope Community Church, 9623 162nd Street W., Lakeville, Minnesota with visitation beginning at 1 PM.
