Born to George and Jean Schmidt, Lisa graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. She entered a career as a Paraprofessional in the Northeast Metro 916 school district in St. Paul, MN, where she worked until her early retirement.
Lisa enjoyed weekend road trips, sports, birdwatching, and good conversations with loved ones. She danced to R&B music, she snuggled on the couch on movie nights, and stepped out occasionally for a nice dinner. She often played pool and was known to be a great shot at the game. In her youth, she played guitar, water skied, traveled, and camped among other leisure activities. Lisa loved a good prank and lived for fun with friends. She laughed often and loved greatly. Lisa was best known for her quick-witted humor, being lighthearted, and thoughtful of others. Lisa is survived in death by her sisters, Judy Jenson, and Cindy Baker, her Stepmother, Mary Ann Schmidt, her Stepbrothers, Mike and Jeff Knoll, and many nieces and nephews. Lisa is preceded in death by George Schmidt, Jean Schmidt, Cathy Fehrman, and Mariah Baker.
Lisa lived a blessed life with great love from her family, friends, and co-workers. Instead of a Memorial service, Lisa requested to have her ashes released into her favorite lake surrounded by loved ones.
