Died Friday, May 28 at age 63 surrounded by family and friends after a year-long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by father, James V. Leebens and mother Nancy B. Leebens. Survived by husband, Wayne Knigge; children, Tom (Cindy) Knigge, Kristine (Scott) Bjorke; grandchildren, Sarah Knigge, Rachael Knigge, Julia Bjorke, Emily Bjorke; siblings, James (Carla) Leebens Jr, John (Shirley) Leebens, Mary (Mark) Swan; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Jim) Leebens-Mack, Richard (Kim) Leebens, Eric (Dana) Leebens, Erin Leebens, Matt Leebens, Jonathan Swan, Jennifer Swan; grandnieces and nephews, Heather, Ian, Kenton, Nicholas, McKenzie, Tyler, Makayla. Linda deeply loved her family and friends. She enjoyed Disney, traveling and her 65 Mustang convertible. A Celebration of Linda's life will take place on Saturday, July 31 at 11 a.m. Visitation 9-11 a.m. at SUNSET Funeral Chapel 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE in Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Children's Home Society.
