Roy is preceeded in death by parents, Anthony and Christine (Varner) and brother and sister in law Allen and Elaine. Roy is survived by his loving ex-wife of 36 years, Harriet Kramer; children, Paula Kramer, Kerry (Bill) Folwarski and Anthony "Tony" Kramer (Christina Drews), Lee Kramer and Pam Johnson; grandchildren, Maddalyn Folwarski and Harper Kramer; special loved ones, Hailiey Ritchie, Roger Wiswell and his cats, Leo and Snoopy. Roy was born and raised in Minneapolis, went to Edison High School before joining the Navy at age 17 where he was a Korean War era Veteran. Roy went to Dunwoody Institute following his service and became a card carrying IBEW Local 292 Electrician for 55 years. He was extremely proud of his Naval service and following career. He had a very colorful life and entertained many with his interesting, yet sometimes shocking, stories. Roy spent much of his early years riding his BSA motorcycle with other like-minded gentlemen up until he had life changing motorcycle accident in 1968. He fished, hunted and was an avid sports and craps enthusiast. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Sunset Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd, Minneapolis, with visitation at 10am. Interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
