Age 83, of Apple Valley

Went home into the arms of her Beloved Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 3rd

Survived by her husband Robert; sister Lorraine (Richard) Davis; daughters, Kathy (Mike) Mansheim, and Debbie Eck; grandchildren, Ashley (Hank) McCarthy, Cassie (Matthias) Austin, Sean (Vikki) Mansheim, Jonathan Westad, and Jenna Westad; great-grandchild, Deandre; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Janet was born and raised in Hibbing, MN. She graduated from the U of M Nursing program in 1955 and retired from nursing at the age of 81. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2014. Janet loved the Lord above all and was a loving and compassionate example to all who knew her. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 11th at Eagan Hills Church (700 Diffley Road, Eagan.) Visitation 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota.
