Jack Duane Gage

Jack Duane Gage, 89, died peacefully September 13, 2017. Jack was born October 17, 1927 to Fred and Vivian Gage in Lakefield, MN. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1952, where he met and married the love of his life, Nancy Gustafson Gage. Two of their three children were born while Jack attended law school at the University of Minnesota. Jack and Nancy enjoyed 64 happy years of marriage, love, and friendship.

Jack was proud of his recognition as a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society for top law students. He headed the corporate tax department at Faegre Benson Law Firm (now Faegre Baker Daniels) where he practiced law his entire career.

Jack was a dedicated lawyer, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His generosity, compassion, and love for his family were absolute. He is survived by his three children, Peter (Donna) Gage, Wendy (Tom) Stotts, and Todd (Kim) Gage, grandchildren Nathalie Gage, Brian (Lisa) Stotts, Kevin (Erin) Stotts, Charles (Angela) Gage, and Stephanie (John) Larson; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jack’s love for dogs was also absolute. He would be honored by donations in his memory to the ASPCA.

Funeral service 11:00 am Monday 9/18/2017 at Sunset Funeral Home (2250 St Anthony Blvd. NE. Minneapolis) Visitation 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment in the Sunset Cemetery
