Dorothy Kinghorn Miller

Dorothy “Dot” Kinghorn Miller passed away on February 21, 2022 after a brief illness. She was 94 years old. Dorothy was born March 30, 1927 on the East Side of St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School. She lived in Como Park at the same address since 1950. She retired from Control Data and travelled the world with her husband Russell when not wintering in Las Vegas for the last 25+ years. Dorothy was a warm loving wife, devoted mother and passionate grandmother. She taught all of her children/grandchildren to play ukulele and enjoyed her childhood cabin on Big Sandy Lake. She lived her best life everyday with no regrets; everyone that came in contact with her was drawn in by her infectious kindness, high energy and sunny disposition.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 75 years, Russell Dean Miller, her three children; Jane (Jerry), Bonnie (Joe) and Gary (Barbara), seven grandchildren; Jennifer, Jeff, Sara, James, Peter, Benjamin and Zachary, four great-grandchildren; Victoria, Andrew, Evan and Alex.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418, visitation will begin at 12:30 PM.
