Audrey was a trailblazing, unapologetic, lifelong Democrat. She was on the forefront of recycling, a genuine human rights advocate, she understood the importance of early childhood education, as a pre-K teacher for 25 years. She laid the hospitality foundation that each of her boys maintains to this day. Most importantly, she was a kind, empathetic, nurturing educator and it is those qualities that will always live on through her sons and everyone she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; six brothers; and four sisters.
Audrey will be missed by her children, William (Frida Busch), Robert (Julie Pierce), and David (Sarah Luedtke-Jones); grandchildren, Devin (Mia), Grace, Estella, Vivian, and Harriet; great-granddaughter, Delilah; and other family and friends.
Memorial Service will be Thursday, April 2 at 12pm with visitation one hour prior at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis.
Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
