I will always remember Aunt Arlene's wonderful sense of humor and her great laugh.  She always had the best jokes, too.  She was a lovely woman who loved her family very much.  She's in God's hands now.  Not a bad place to be . . .

Lynette and Sandy, my heart aches for you.  Please know that everyone here in Kenosha shares the loss of our Aunt Arlene.  We will all miss her.  It is hard to believe it's been so long since all "the sisters" were together at Brenda's house here in Kenosha.  They had the BEST time talking about growing up in Athens.  Of course, no two stories were the same.  Each on of "the girls" had their own version.  We will always remember that weekend and how happy they were to be together again. Dear Mike, Lynette, Sandy and Family: 

May you find peace knowing that so many care right now in the great loss of  your grandmother, mother and friend.  Grandma Arlene was always such a sweet woman who loved to laugh and have a great time. She knew how to really make us all laugh with her and more importantly she knew how to love. She loved you all unconditionally but she also showed love to everyone else.

Our condolences are with you all at this time and may it give you comfort to know that she was a very loved woman who had a lot of spunk!  How lucky and blessed I feel to have known her. She was a very special woman who also showed pride in her family and always bragged about all the grandchildren she was so fond of.

We have fond memories of your Mom and Grandmother, she was so fun to talk to at family get togethers.  She was always warm and sharp witted, she made you feel comfortable and cared about!  When all is said and done in life - that is a wonderful legacy to leave - She didn't judge, she was accepting to all she met, she made you feel wanted and she spread her joy!  Wow, that says alot about her life! That is the most important thing you can leave behind!

I've delivered meals on wheels to Arlene the past couple of years.  She always had a friendly smile and a pleasent greeting when she opened her door.  Her joyfulness in life was easy to see.  My condolences to her family.

Aunt Arlene was very special to me. She was my second mother when I was a small child. Our families lived next door to each other, and were very very close. She talked my dad into buying me a new bike. She's my prettiest aunt...pictures of her will show you that too. She always would tease me that she'd eaten rattle snake when she and Bert had gone out on Saturday nights. She was a good friend and very loyal to her sisters. She loved her own family very very much too. She will be missed.

Nancy and I send our sympathy to Arlene's daughters and family. I remember Arlene from more than 50 years ago when she was a long-time waitress at my parents' restaurant. She was a favorite with her regular customers with her witty, teasing style. She was loyal and very supportive at the time of my father's death, then continued  with my mother for many more years. We too, fondly remember her sense of humor, and hope  memories like this will be of help in Arlene's family's time of grief.
