Larry Eugene Warren, 74, went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 16, 2025 after a long battle from the effects of Agent Orange and other complications. We will truly miss you, brother. A Graveside Service will be held March 3rd at 11:00 am, at the Northern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, NV.
Larry was raised in Norwalk, CA and graduated from Excelsior High School in 1968. He joined the US Navy in 1968, and served as a sonarman aboard the USS Horne until 1972. He was stationed in San Diego, and his ship made two tours off the coast of Vietnam, providing naval gunfire support to troops in combat during the Vietnam War. Upon being discharged from the Navy, he went to work for the USPS where he worked for 25+ years, and at one time was acting postmaster at the Sunset Beach, CA post office before moving. He moved to Gardnerville, NV in 1995 to be close to his family, and continued working for the USPS until 2002. He then worked at the capitol building for the Nevada State Treasurers Office for 11 years before retiring in 2011.
He loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, gardening, and going on cruises.
