To his wife he was integrity and a promise kept.
To his daughters he was strength and protection.
To his grandchildren he was knowledge, wisdom, and a story told.
To his friends he was a challenge accepted and a story made.
He devoted his life to public service in the Marine Corps, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and finally, as a judge.
He loved history, music, speaking Spanish, and humor. He was equally happy bird hunting, looking for arrowheads, golfing or laying on a beach. He was a faithful and unwavering believer. He was a builder. He was loyalty and love, cruising through town in a five-window Chevy truck.
Jim is survived by his wife Lynn; daughters Christina and Lisa; grandchildren Savannah, Brianna, Byron, Caleb and Shelby; and great grandson Dustin.
He was treasured and we will miss him until we meet again in Heaven.
