As a long time friend of daughter Debbie, my memories of Cathy are not numerous,  but special. I especially was able to experience the love she imparted and modeled for her family by Debbie's calm and loving parenting.  I am grateful to have such a dear friend raised by a mother and father such as the Rogers's. 

I remember a tea party that she had for Cassie and her friends. I was an adult and never went to a tea party. It was grand and she did such a great job making us all feel welcome in her home!

To me Catherine Claire Rodgers is Nanny. Our sweet, beautiful, classy and talented Nanny. I have so many great memories of our time together: holidays at the house in Pollock Pines, us girl cousins putting together silly kid skits to perform for our loving Nanny and Pop-pop, fun times on the boat in the summer, throwing snowballs in the winter, and shortbread year round. Art class was especially fun with Nanny, her love for art came through in every moment. Whether we were walking on the beach and looking for shells or hiking and collecting leaves she always inspired me to look at nature in a different way. Even though we were a rowdy bunch Nanny never yelled, but calmly put us in our place with a look and a strong pinch. She quietly lived out her faith every day and helped to lead me in my own faith journey. I have always felt loved, supported and cherished by Nanny! Love you forever!

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.  May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.  Amen.
