I love you Jerry, growing up not only were you my brother you were my best friend. We had Amazing Adventures and now you are on the greatest adventure of your life. Sad to lose my only brother at this early stage of your life.   Time rushes quick enough and as we age we want to cherish all that time gives us.  In heaven there is no clock or time to worry.  There is eternity to be with God.   I will miss your laughter and a few romps we had.  Of course you outgrew me about a foot.  Me, 5'6" and you 6'5".   Use to ask God for 6 foot but he must been busy.  Betty and I really cared about you and we still loved you.  I am still shocked and hurt you left us.  May you enjoy what heaven has in store and be easy on the ladies.  Say hi to dad and mom.

It's so hard to know what to say, you are missed "Gerald", thats what I called you at times :) !  My memories are of the young teenager that came to stay with us a month when we were stationed in Alaska,  we  had alot of laughs!  Then of course your last year of high school you spent with us in N.C., we had some good times!  You loved to eat and  that always made me smile! Uncle Jerry, my Godfather. 
My memories of you are mostly from my youth. You were coming and going.  I remember sporadic things that are both endearing and odd that are burned on my brain. I recall your white trans am with its eagle and boldness, your particular way of teasing that was followed with a taunting laugh, nicknames you gave people, your way of looking/listening to  someone  that allowed you to see deeper than the surface and so much more.  
One particular memory I recall is when you came to live with us in North Carolina for a year or so. I had to give up my room for you. My things were still in the room, so I would venture in there to get things at times. One time, when I went in  the closet, I found a large clear plastic bag full of bubble gum cigarettes. As a kid, I thought I hit the jack pot for candy, but at the same time thought I would get in trouble if I had them. You said I could have some but not to tell anyone. I couldn't understand why it was a secret seeing how you had been smoking real cigarettes for some time.  
Things were always a little mysterious with you.  You were like a butterfly fluttering in and out of life, or even on a daily basis to a new adventure. Hard to catch up with. 
I will say, I think the thing that stands out the most for me, is your voice. Your voice was unique. It had an odd deepness to it. When you spoke it vibrated and had boldness that was warm. It commanded attention as it resonated but was calming. The laughter it made was intoxicating to hear. It also dripped with sadness at times. Unfortunately I haven't heard that voice in almost 40 years, but I will always recall it when I hear your name. 
Uncle Jerry, my wayward uncle, may you continue to flutter on to the next adventure. Rest well.

We are so sad and sorry to hear the tragic news of beloved Jerry's passing and send deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to the whole Bindas family and loved ones.

Growing up, I remember my Uncle Jerry's laughter and smile the most. He always knew how to lighten the mood and make us laugh when were kids. Thank you for the joy you brought into our lives. You will be cherished forever. Rest in peace Jerry!

R I P Jerry. You took me to my very first outdoor stadium rock concert in 1976 at JFK Stadium in Philly. It was Gary Wright opening for Peter Frampton opening for YES. We snuck out of the house in Atco NJ and had to get back by NJT Bus by nightfall so we left before YES came on but it was still an Awesome experience. And fishing at Atco lake was a lot of fun. 
Also going to Atco drive in movie venue at Rt.30 & Rt.73 with your family was a lot of fun. And I believe the first time I ever tasted pizza was with your family in Atco NJ.  You will be missed friend...
