Sylvia Ann Nelson

Sylvia Ann Nelson, age 62, of Milton, FL, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born August 25, 1951 in Pensacola, Florida to the late Marion F. Thurman and Lurese P. Parker Thurman.

Ann loved her family and her Lord. She enjoyed fishing and running the roads with Elsie. She also loved her pets and was preceded in death by her pet hedgehog, Charlie.

Survivors include her beloved husband Jerry Howard; her daughters, Diane (Daryl) Johnson and Lisa (Tommy) Needham, all of Milton, FL; her sons, William J. (Dora) Nelson of Milton, FL, Carlson Howard of Alabama, and Nathern Howard of Crestview, FL; her grandchildren, Jessica (Brennen) Frank, Courtney Nelson, Sabrina Nelson, Tristan Nelson, Shelby Needham, Tommy Needham and Kalli Needham; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Frank and Breanna Frank; her brothers, Henry (Melody) Thurman and James Thurman, all of Milton, FL; her sisters, Frances Davis of Milton, FL and Kathereen “Rose” Ladziak of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her canine companion, Killer; her very special friends, Kay & Jessie Moore; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 13, 2014 from 6 PM until 9 PM. A memorial service will be January 25, 2014 at 11 AM at New Life Baptist Church in Milton.

National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
