Marvin “Buz” graduated from Abbeville High School in Abbeville, LA. He attended the University of Oklahoma and continued his education at Hinds Jr. College in Jackson, MS. Buz served in the Air Force during the Cuban Crisis. He had a great love for his country and always supported our military men and women. He left the Air Force for a position at Lockheed in Japan where he was an aircraft mechanic. He started his career in broadcast sales in New Orleans, LA. He later retired as a Broadcast Sales Engineer from Sony Corporation of America.
Buz was a well-respected, conservative and devoted family man who was loved dearly by his family and all that knew him. He always stood for what was right and honest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. One of his favorite pastimes was gunsmithing and he was a longtime member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin F. & Helen Bussey; a special family friend, Patricia Kryworuchenko; and his faithful dog, “Shadow”.
Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara Ann Stroud Bussey; his daughter and son-in-law, Lorrie and Mike Douglas; his daughter Michelle Lowe; his one and only son, Patrick Bussey and his fiancée Pamela; two grandsons, Christopher and Nathan Bradley; a grand-daughter, Kristal Lowe; extended family Laura Smith who was like a daughter and Kayla Smith who was like a grand-daughter; Andy Kryworuchenko; Linda Adkins; and many other special friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society in Milton, FL. with Bro. Alan Isaacson and Jeff Wilkinson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation and/or the National Rifle Association.
