James Ardell Wentz

1937-2016

James Ardell ‘Jim” Wentz, age 78, of Milton, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 21, 2016. He was born on June 30, 1937 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Pendrel Wentz and Alma Romaine Coleman Wentz. Jim was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and retired from the pool industry having been the owner and operator of Jim’s Pool Service in Santa Rosa County. He loved to sing and was a member, deacon and choir director at Laurel View Baptist Church. Most of all he loved his family and was a dedicated father and grandfather.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Marilee Wentz.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 31 years, Sally Taylor Wentz; his sons, Larry Land of Milton, Florida and Troy Wentz of Tampa, Florida; his daughters, Terri Avramis of New York, Tamela Turley of Ireland and Tina Wentz of California; many grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis & Whitie Wilard of Pennsylvania; and last , but not least his feline companion KiKi.

Funeral services will be Saturday June 25, 2016 at 11 AM at National Cremation & Burial Society Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Taylor and Chaplain Ken Griffin officiation. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the service hour.
