Harold Cooley, age 78, passed away October 2, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born April 3, 1940 in Milton, FL to Cody and Eloise Cooley. He was a native of Milton, FL and after graduating from Milton High School he joined the United States Army. After serving his country, he worked primarily in the hardware industry. He was a member of Point Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Harold was very active member of his community and belonged to several organizations including the Masons (55 years), Scottice Rite, a Shriner, a volunteer fireman, the Pace Water System Board (18 years) as well as a member of the Elks Lodge, Amvets, American Legion, and Eastern Star.
Harold was a cowboy, he was never seen without a cowboy hat, boots, and jeans. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses, and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Cooley, two children; Beverly Cooley and Jonathan (Kim) Cooley, grandchildren; Baileigh, Briar, Devon, Molly, Ashley, Zac, and Emery, great grandchild; Azlyn. He is also survived by his brother Don (June) Cooley as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at National Cremation & Burial Society. An interment will follow the funeral service at Memory Park Cemetery.
