On May 23, 2011 the bright light of our family was extinguished following a courageous and exhaustive battle with lung cancer. Edna Mae Smith, 84, was born on March 15, 1927 in Clinchco, VA. She lived for many years in Kingsport, Tennessee, Hialeah, Florida, Flowery Branch, Georgia and most recently, Milton, Florida. She loved playing bridge and bingo. Gardening, traveling, crocheting, knitting, and cooking were among her many passions.
She is survived by five children; Shelia Filos, Sharron Tanner, Deborah Lando, Doug Lando and Angela Campbell. Also, three granddaughters; Alisa Filos, Yanessa Gonzalez and Claire Lando. Her grandsons; Jason Filos, Michael Rowland, Nicholas Campbell, and Nicolas Gonzalez. One Great-Grandson; Derrick Filos.
She was loved by all who knew her and her kind and gentle spirit will continue to guide our family, from her new home in Heaven.
