My favorite teacher back in the late 60's

So, sorry to read of Mr Bechtold's passing.  He was one of my CCD teachers at St. Ann's in Millvale.  In much later years I would see
him having breakfast or coffee with the table of Millvale Businessmen
at the Lincoln Drug Store's lunch counter.   I had heard he had
gone into assisted living.  The group of men got smaller and smaller
as they got up in years and passed away.  I think I had a little crush on him in my CCD years.  He was a very handsome and nice man.   Sending all of his family my sympathy on a life well lived.

Mr. Bechtold was my teacher at St. George High School in the early 60's. He was so handsome and I can see from his photo that he remained attractive. He was a great teacher and always had a smile for us students. May he rest in peace.

Remembered as the best teacher I ever had.  Fondly recall a great experience as my 8th grade HR and English teacher at John White Jr. HS.  Rest in Peace. Mr. Bechtold.

Mr. B was our teacher at St. George high.  He will always be remembered.  Rest in peace, you are a part of our whole

our teacher back in 1960-61 but by the remarks by other students and how well he aged... its gotta be..it was probably His first teaching job at St. George H.S....here we were with all "Nuns", strict at that, and here comes this young handsome guy that drove a pick-up truck..WITH STACKS...the girls went ga ga...He actually had some of us to his house once...unheard of in those days...we talk of him often...please accept
our deepest sympathy...guaranteed He impacted many of our lives...Frank Singleton...I know for a fact I speak for
all our other classmates..

I saw this name and remembered my favorite teacher at Chartiers Valley HS.  Mr. Bechtold was a class act.  Always engaging with the students and always had a smile on his face.   Rest In Peace Mr. B.  To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Mr Bechtold was my English teacher at Chartiers Valley back in the 80's.  His class was always so much fun.  I remember he always let us chew gum in his class as he did the same!!!  He was one of my favorite teachers!!   I thought of him often especially when someone said they were reading, "Of Mice and Men".  He will be dearly missed!  My condolences to you and your family.

Bill, I am sorry to hear of your loss.  I would see Tom every day at Arden and always stopped to talk with him.  He became a dear friend and I am so glad I got to spend a few minutes with him during his last days.  I wish I had known him before he came to Arden.  Thank you for sharing him with me. Tom was such a wonderful person also happy an great outlook on life. He would walk everyday the ball fields an loved to golf.  Rest in Peace.

Bill, so sorry for the passing of your brother Tom. He was a great person. Such a wonderful neighbor and friend. We couldn't thank him enough for the caring he gave to my grandparents, parents and my aunt. I could count on him to check on them when I wasn't there. He will be missed greatly. RIP Tom.

Goodbye Uncle Tom!  I have great memories of your picnics at Grandma & Pappap's with all the brothers drinking beer and playing horse shoes, climbing the overgrown steps to the reservoir, jeep rides, and family dinners at the Grant Bar.  I love you and I'll miss you!!!
