Marie D Harrison

She was the loving mother of Gail (Alex Martinez) Harrison and the late Dean E. Harrison; beloved sister of Allen (Wanda) Dixon and the late Riley Dixon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and their families, as well as many surrogate grandchildren.

Marie was a devout Christian and loved her Lord. She taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Cary for over 50 years and was active at First Presbyterian Church, Murryville, PA, while living with her daughter. She raised her family with love, laughter and joy. Marie raised her family in the church, exposing them to a variety of arts, cultural, and sporting events, but allowing them to choose their own directions in life based on their interests, but with strong ethics and integrity. After moving in with her daughter, she lovingly earned the title of official Crazy Cat Lady.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 28th at 2pm in the First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville, 3202 N. Hills Rd., Murrysville, PA 15668. Friends will be received from 1pm until the time of service.

A time of visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Friday June 2, 2017 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home 200 SE Maynard Rd. Cary. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday at 11 am at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 10- 11am until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
