Ralph Raymond Corradi, age 85, of Rocky Point, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Married to his cherished wife, Peg, for 62 wonderful years, Ralph's family was his whole world. He was the epitome of a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his loved ones first. He is survived by his spouse, Margaret "Peg" Corradi; his son Ralph Corradi (Linda); his daughters Kathy Gaffney (Ed) and Chrissy Cox (Rich); and his grandchildren Ryan Gaffney (Kacey), Jennifer Corradi (Asa), Sean Gaffney, Lauren Corradi, Brianna Dooley (Patrick), Tyler Gaffney, Skylar Cox, and Christian Cox. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Magdalene Dooley and Baby Girl Gaffney due in January. Known for his quick wit and infectious smile, he had a remarkable ability to brighten any room with a well-timed joke, a colorful story or an amazing ability to make you feel like family. He never left unsaid or unknown how much he cared.
A friendly soul, Ralph never met a stranger; he had a unique talent for turning acquaintances into lifelong friends. His outgoing nature allowed him to connect with everyone he encountered, creating a vast network of relationships throughout his life.
Ralph dedicated his career as a Supervisor for the NY Telephone Company until his retirement. He then focused on serving his community through the Tides Beach Association, where he held the position of director and later was instrumental in the beautification of the Tides Beach. In addition, Ralph served as Coach and President of the North Shore Little League, fostering a love of baseball in the community. His dedication to youth sports reflected his commitment to nurturing the next generation.
A visitation for Ralph will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Saint Anthony’s of Padua Church, 614 NY-25A, Rocky Point, NY 11778. A committal service with Army Funeral Honors will follow at 11:30 AM at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792.
