Maurice A. St. Pierre of Rocky Point, New York was an avid Yankees fan and, in his words, “passed to the great ballpark in the sky” on April 18, 2024. Surrounded by family in his home he died of complications from pancreatic cancer. Maurice was known for many things, but especially his writing. His marriage to his “lovely bride”, Jane, began with the writing of pen pal letters. For the past five years he shared his health journey on his Caringbridge.org site. He had the most positive outlook and one of his favorite quotes was: “Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” He certainly had both.
Maurice is survived by his wife, Jane, of nearly 52 years, beautiful mother, Genevieve St. Pierre, his granddaughter, “The Beautiful Isabella” and sons Brian (Dana) and Bill. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother Jim and sisters Laura and Velma. He was predeceased by his father, James St. Pierre and brother, Vincent as well as his sister, Jennie Grecki. Maurice is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, numerous cherished nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
