Jim  & Joe  Ward at our Happy place on Bonaire…the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort.  We always had so much fun together with Jim & Lorraine while there. We’re so sorry to become aware of Jim’s passing.   Both Jim & Lorraine have been our thoughts even without recent contact. My father Kevin Cunningham worked with Jimmy back in the day.  I don't have many memories of my dad but one is seeing Jimmy at the firehouse.  I remember him being very kind and funny and always making me feel welcome.  I'm so sorry for your loss. RIP Jimmy

So sorry for your loss Loraine and family.  Jimmy was one of the nicest men I know. He always had a big smile and a warm hello whenever you saw him. He will be missed by many.

I will miss Uncle Jim dearly... family was everything to Uncle Jim, he was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He kept our family together with all the parties at his house, especially the Christmas Eve Party as we celebrated Christmas as a family. His grandson James was the apple of his eye. I have so much respect and admiration for my uncle and I am fortunate to have so many priceless memories with him including Islander games, fishing and hunting trips that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will carry-forward what I learned from my Uncle Jim to my son. 

Uncle Jim was a great brother in law, uncle and godfather to my mother, my brothers and myself.  He could always be counted on when needed.  I have many wonderful memories of him from my childhood and adulthood.  His love and memories will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Meadows Family for a great man.
Jim was a member of the FDNY Family as well and the awesome memories of him will always live on in our hearts and minds. Many, many great experiences were shared on a daily basis in our home on 51st Street in Woodside.
Rest peacefully my Brother, we love you.

Jimmy, we will all miss that smiling face, Always a kind word, always so generous! Jimmy came to work for us at Hartlins and immediately became family not only to the staff and owners but to the customers as well. He was the finest employee, looking out for the customers and us as well, very protective of the “girls” at work, walked them to their cars at night. He always had his annual pool parties, inviting one and all, especially the customers and staff with kids, boy did he love kids! Unfortunately I was always working and missed these, but everyone talked about them for days! He was very devoted to his wife Lorraine, his children and grandson, and my sincere condolences go out to all of them at this difficult time. We are all truly heartbroken.
