George Edward Francis

George E. Francis, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully in his home on Long Island, NY, on August 10, 2020. Born in Manhattan, NY, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; daughters Deirdra Piegari and husband Joseph, Kathleen Francis and wife Eliza Broderick, and Amy Arrigali and husband Vincent. Preceded in death is his son, George Francis. Also survived by grandchildren Jonathan Rubenstein and wife Phoebe, Christian, Carter and Alessandra Arrigali and great grandson Shia Rubenstein. George graduated from Fordham University in The Bronx, NY. He served in the armed forces and was in charge of a military intelligence foreign mission in Austria. Some of his happiest times were while working at Mulcahys Pub in Wantagh, NY, until he finally retired at 79 years old. George will always be remembered for his keen wit, sense of humor, his jokes and the laughter he brought into everyone's life. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
