I still remember starting as a brand new nursing assistant on 16north at stony brook and you taking me under your wing...  i learned so much from you. we had so many laughs, and i had never met someone so compassionate, sweet, funny, and amazing.. and to be keeping in touch 8 years later meant so much to me. You were such an amazing friend. I will miss you dearly.. i will continue praying for your family and friends. Until we meet again! You were taken way too soon, my girl... 

My sweet Erica, thank you for always having the best hugs and smile.  You lit up the room with your energy. You reached for the stars and became one... now you shine down on the rest of us with broken hearts at your leaving this earth too soon.   You touched more lives in your short time here than most do in an entire lifetime... soar with the angels sweetness...  until we meet up again in majestic heaven, I will think of you and smile... ❤️

Erica was a shining light when she worked with us in Labor & Delivery and will be remembered for her friendliness, smile and positivity. We were all truly shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. When Erica finished her rotation with us, she went above and beyond to thank us by writing a beautiful card and bringing cake for everyone. She was a special person who will never be forgotten. Our prayers are with her friends, family and colleagues at this difficult time.

I had the privilege to meet Erica when she became a nurse at Stony Brook. We instantly clicked. I was impressed with her maturity she had at such a young age. She knew what she wanted and worked so hard to obtain it. I watched her touch so many lives; patients, doctors, nurses etc. She was sunshine in dark situations. We had some great laughs. The world has lost a beautiful soul. I pray for healing to all her family and friends. I am a better person because of Erica. I am happy to call her a friend and a colleague. Rest easy my friend until we met again. I will miss you always.

I only knew Erica for a short time but every time I had the privilege to work with her , it made the day so much more enjoyable! She had such a great personality. I told her I wish she stay at THOCC. 
She even took the time to make us cupcakes before she left- I am so sorry to all of her family and friends for the loss of such a bright and promising young lady. I’m sure she touched the hearts of all that all that knew her. RIP. Sweet girl!

Erica, I still can't believe you are gone we were just discussing all our summer cop events, you graduating and Diva finding you a husband. I still feel like it's a nightmare. Erica was filled with so much energy always with a smile. I was hoping she would come and work with us at Hartford. We will miss her energy and her caring for her patients. May God Bless her and her family

There is a gaping void in my heart the size of Erica's huge, bright personality. While she says I inspired her in her interview at QU, she inspired me every step of the way to complete it. So many struggling moments Erica was the person to get me back on my feet to keep going. She was a rallying cheerleader in my corner and taught me so much. I could not be more grateful for what she gave me. After a long day at clinical, scrub cap hair glued down, blistering cold rain, and a midterm, Erica still showed up to support me in one of my first big presentations. That's how Erica was: a tremendous, reliable friend. She possessed such character, confidence, resiliency, humor, understanding, intellect, energy, and beauty. My heart is broken and stunned. She will be eternally missed. Love you, girl! 

Erica was a wonderful person with a heart of gold . She gave so much to her patients and was always in good spirits.
I remember the last time we worked together I gave her a little gift and told her she “had that magic that not ever one has and that she would do great things”

Erica’s positive energy, enthusiasm & joy for life filled the room. Such a smart, passionate, beautiful person. She will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends. 

Erica was a delightfully talented and warm hearted nurse anesthetist who I very much enjoyed working with.  She was wonderful and caring to our patients and was a so smart and capable.  She had such a bright future ahead of her.   I personally told her, "Erica you need to come and work with us!"  We enjoyed her company, her humor, her smile, and her laugh.  She was such a joy to be around.  She will be so greatly missed by all of us here at MidState Medical Center.  My heart is so broken.  We have truly lost a great person.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this difficult time.

Your heart of gold will live on in the lives of those you touched, those you healed and those whose lives you forever changed. You will be missed by many.
